Life on earth started because of rise in temp due to CO2 emitted by volcanoes etc. and due to greenhouse effect of co2.
but due to human activities that break the laws of mother nature, the emission of carbon dioxide is increasing day by day. According to figures world have already burned half the fossil fuels necessary to bring destructing 2 centigrade rise in temperature.

according to facts half the trillion tonnes of carbon has been consumed and rest half will be consumed in next 40 years at current rate. co2 is 40% responsible for Global warming and 12% by black carbon. Himalayan glaciers are expected to loose 75% of their ice by 2020.

some facts
1)if global temp. rise by 2 degree Celsius arctic sea will disappear
2)--------------------------2-3 degree Celsius heatwaves will become annual feature.
3) if it rises by 3-4 degree glaciers and snowbelts will disappear.
4) if it rises by 4-5 degree sea will become acidic.
5) at 6 degree 90% of population will be history.

please give your views what needs to be done n what are you doing to prevent global warming?

Here i m explaining some of the basic things which helps to protect the energy as well the Global warming.

1) Planting tree which is very helpful to reduce Co2 . A single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime

2)Eat Fresh foods and vegetables instead of frozen foods because Frozen food uses 10 times more energy to produce.

3)Don't use plastic bags . As it took more energy while making it. Use paper bags or jhoot bags.

You can add more points... .. lets contribute to decrease the Global warming.

+i takes more energy to grow meat(beef) than vegetables so be a vegetarian n help reducing global warming.

But pollution Control measures are best done at Higher levels (eg Government)

I bet, its their buildings, vehicles and ways that are most in-effcient.

Unless they improve, how can a Common man?
Plus they tax the hell on Nice things like Solar panels and Hybrid vehicles which acts as a detterent to Public tyring to save the earth.

yes definitely govt. needs to do a lot but i don't agree common man can't do anything.It's common man that has to take steps.
anyway you are saying that Govt. imposes high taxes on solar panels etc. but as per my knowledge to promote usage of solar cells govt. has subsidised the solar panels so that's a good step.

last time I asked, Solar panels worth of running a mid-size house Cost 5 Lakh and have recurring costs every 2 years (batteries).

I have a tree right in compound of my house, so that people have started calling it-

'Peid wala ghar" ha ha.

They house was deliberatly planned by my dad to save the tree from being cut, during construction.

No houses have trees that way in my area... ha ha ha

me too have a mango and Guava tree outside our home and a rubber tree too.

We have Neem tree... Which gives very fresh air, Kills insects... and prevents allergies.
My room window is just near to tha tree.. and the breeze coming from it is very cool...fresh.

our mango tree is (khatta mitha) its very good to eat but it gives fruit only for alternate years.
