Sony Ericsson is the latest entrant into the eco-friendly bandwagon after Motorola and Samsung. After showcasing its Green Heart concept in September 2008, it recently made its announcement about its intention to bring the phone out of the “papers” stage to production reality, the result being the C 901 Green Heart.
It is a candy-bar phone totally green i.e. it is made up of recycled plastic. The inclusion of light-sensors is optimized to cut-down energy consumption. It also cuts down on the use of hazardous chemicals in the production, reduce paper consumption and use smaller packaging. Even the charger is eco-friendly and draws less than 30 milli watts of power when idle.
Being eco-friendly doesn’t mean it compromises on its features. The cool Green Heart is loaded with a 5 mega-pixel camera and a xenon-flash, photography tools and the latest Sony Ericsson media player.
The C 901 Green Heart will be available this very quarter of the year, although, there is no fixed date and price recommendation.
