Honda started selling gear less scooter in India from 2001 by introducing vehicles like Honda Activa and Honda Dio. With this Honda grabbed a major share of gearless scooter market in India and made it's presence felt in markets which was dominated by Bajaj Auto then.
Recently Honda had re-launched the Honda Dio with some up gradation. The new model has got various cosmetic changes. The New Honda Dio is powered by a 102cc air cooled, 4 stroke, single cylinder OHC engine. The all new Honda Dio comes with self and kick start options. It now makes 8 bhp @ 7000 RPM and a 0.86 kgm of torque.
Honda Dio comes equipped with standard suspensions and braking system. It also has enough space to fit in luggage and has tubeless tyres which will be first in it's segment in the country. New Honda Dio also has a new designed instrument panel and flat footboard.
Honda says that the Dio's legroom has now grown and the seat has gotten wider. In a bid to reduce spannering time, the Duo also gets a maintenance-free battery and a viscous air filter. The all new Honda Dio has been priced at Rs. 42,362 and the price quoted is Ex Showroom Delhi.
