Microsoft Patch for Vista SP1 and IE has been released
Microsoft has released 8 Security updates on Tuesday (08/04/08), Five are tagged as "Critical" to patch Windows, Office and Internet Explorer, and the 3 being “Important Updates”.
The Critical Update that has been released affects every version of Operating system that Microsoft supports, including the just-released Service Pack 1 for Vista and the new server operating system windows server 2008
There are 2 Critical Updates and 1 important update for IE.
1) MS08-023 Addresses Vulnerability in an Active X Control, which would allow remote code execution if a user viewed a specially crafted web page using IE.
2) MS08-024 resolves vulnerability in Internet Explorer, which could allow remote code execution if a user viewed a specially crafted web page using IE.
3) MS08-020 fixes Vulnerability in windows which could allow an attacker to send specially crafted responses to DNS requests, thereby Spoofing or redirecting Internet traffic from legitimate locations.
