Dear friends, as expected, Microsoft Corp on Tuesday said it would buy Nokia's mobile phone business for 5.44 billion euros, and the Finnish firm said its CEO, Stephen Elop, would join Microsoft when the transaction closed.
It is not an unexpected news because Nokia was struggling to make mark in the market because of their love for Windows Phone OS. Nokia was being loyal to Mircrosoft Windows Phone OS from very long time. Even though Nokia have some very good phone in line up but still due to lack of Android, many are reluctant to buy Nokia phones. Once leader of the market, now Nokia is struggling and is even behind domestic manufacturers in terms of sales in Indian telecom scene.
However, it will be a very good strategy for Microsoft as then they will have direct control over Nokia to promote their window's phone OS.
If you remember, Google had acquired Nokia Mobility last year, so it was obvious move for Microsoft to do something similar who consider Google as their rival. Google gave us Moto X , lets see what we will see from Microsoft once they acquires Nokia.
