Aamir Movie Review at eTI
There is a type of audience who admires movie which makes real sense and are closure to life and have something to make you think about. If you are one such then Aamir is surely a movie for you to watch for. Directorial debut from Rajkumar Gupta surely deserves appreciation for his first timer. A tale about a common man who becomes victim of a controversy which is controlled by some terrorist is a must watch drama for people who loves movie with difference and quality.
It is really good to see for director picking up such a daunting subject and making movie upon it. Movie has no leading star cast from bollywood, neither any element of normal Indian movie where we see romance, emotions, songs.. nothing is there but a very strong effort. Personally I am always waiting for such movies but here I will try that my personal interest should not interfere with the flow of the review.
Aamir Ali, a muslim doctor, returning to India from London, as soon as he reaches Mumbai airport, he starts encountering suspecting stuff. And when he did not find his family there to take him but find a phone being threw upon him and keeps on ringing . He had to take the call and the misery starts for him. He now have to follow instructions of some terror making people to take lives of innocent people for the sake of his family which is being kidnapped by people who threw phone to him.
One day suspense and thriller drama in a life of a common man moves on and we got to see some attempt in picturisation. However, there are few instances and situation which were unanswered and are the weak point otherwise flow is movie is just perfect.
As said earlier movie is just not for everyone but for those who like to see the difference and quality. Every instance of movie is packed with thrill, every next sequence makes you even more puzzled and indulged in the plot. Raajeev Khandelwal, surely a nice selection for such role and he did not let go his character even for a second in the movie.
Background music is supportive and cinematography is good and and just above average. However the camera handling is tricky and deserves appreciation.
Overall a must watch for people looking for quality and want a break from main stream cinema.
My Rating 3/5
