Hi guys, I do not know much about Stock market , actually I yet to try my hands on stock market but today I saw this Mahurat Trading word. In news channel they say that Mahurat Trading for 2008, Market will be open for 1 hour from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm on 28th October,2008.

Is this some ritual ?

Muhurat trading is a spcecial trading / business session on eve of d for about one hour. It is a symbolic ritual which has been performed for years.

The time of the muhurat trading is specified by the stock exchange. It is a part of the traditional rituals among the stock broking community. The event is believed to bring in wealth. A nominal trading time is allowed.

well murat trading take place every year on diwali eve...it is one hour trading ..before trading pooja is performed in stock exchange...it is tradition following from many years..it is a part of belief from people that pooja on diwali eve will bring wealth...some people see it as new year beginning too....
