The biggest lender of the country said that it will extend the 8 per cent home loan scheme till 31 March, 2010. The scheme was originally supposed to end on November 7 and there were reports that the bank might withdraw the special home loan offer.

The bank had earlier introduced a special offer at 8 per cent fixed interest rate for loans up to Rs 5 lakh for five years. It also offers loans up to Rs 50 lakh at 8 per cent for the first year and at 8.5 per cent in the second and third years.
The bank has announced a cut in its deposit rates by 25-50 bps from November 9.

I've also applied for hdfc home loan are the conditions same for hdfc home loan also about the rates..??
I've heard that hdfc bank is providing the home loan on best possible rates.
