DTC raised the fares in the Buses of Delhi/NCR from today itself. As per DTC they are facing the loss in the DTC buses from quite some time and to fulfill the loss the DTC raised the fares of the buses.

In an interview of Sheila Dixit, she said the Government raised the fares just to fulfill the loss and to purchase new bused of DTC (Low floor Buses) so that they can completely remove the private buses (Blue Lines) from Delhi and that will help to reduce the misshaping by their drivers. She also added that government is planning to develop more facility in Delhi /NCR and just because of it asked support from Public.
Public are opposed the raised fares by DTC and opposed the government also as they are continuously increasing the price of everything including Fares, Milk, petrol etc.

Government also allowed Private Bus to raise the money according to the DTC new fares. In the press conference Chief Minister Sheila Dixit said Private bus wills not the Fares as DTC only faced the loss but from today onward Private Bus service Provider also raised the Fares with the permission of Government.

New Fares Scheme as below:-

1) For 3 KM distance now passengers have to pay 5 rupees instead of 3. Rs.
2) For 5 Rs Ticket now Passengers have to pay 10 Rs.
3) For 10 rupees ticket passengers have to pay 15 Rs.
4) For 10+ Km distance Passengers have to pay 25 Rs.
5) Senior citizen got the benefited in this scheme as their monthly passes will be made for Rs. 250 and in this 250, 200 RS. will be given by Government as subsidy in Normal Buses and in air condition bused pass value is Rs. 350 same the 200 Rs. Will be given by Government as subsidy.

More Over the Metro mini buses will pay monthly charges to DTC. In that Small metro feeder Buses will pay 2400 monthly and standard size Buses will be 10,000 Rs. Monthly. Due to this monthly charges Metro feeder buses also raced the Fares.
