Bollywood Movie Review : Bombay to Bangkok
The Concept
Its about incident with a person who found some dollars and fled to Bankok, there his life became jeopardized and this is all movie is about.
The Movie
Shreyas Talpade , a canteen cook found some money which actually belongs to a Bhai. He then to enjoy money and to get away from that bhai fled to Bangkok but by masking himself as a Doctor going with team of Doctors who are going there for some charitable purpose. There he met a girl with whom he instantly fell in love but she turned out to be a sex worker who is some social worker in day time. Also there is a doctor who wants him implicate in some drug scam. So life turns out to be more jeopardized for him when he realized that he is even in more trouble because of that Bhai too.
The Conclusion
Nagesh Kukunoor, who directed movies like Dor and Iqbal, totally failed to maintain his charm here. May be he wanted to make lousy movie. There are so many things in the movie which may leave you puzzled yourself that what really Kukunoor is upto ? Movie is really confused that it is not a thriller, nor a comedy .. what a drama it is ?
Shreyas Talpade had nothing much to do because of bad plot. Lina Christianson, thai actress has nothing much to do. Naseeruddin Shah, the Don in the movie should have not opted for this small Role. And what to say for the Lyrics of the songs from the movie. .. left me puzzled.. same same..different different.
I rate it 2 (Poor) out of Five.
