• Force ONE SUV launched - Cheap but Premium SUV for India

    From over 50 years, Force Motors has been making high reliability engines with best-in-class fuel economy has now forayed into SUV segment with launch of Force ONE SUV. It will be available in the market for the customers from next month with a price tag of Rs. 10.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

    On the occasion of launching this Force One, Prasan Firodia, Managing director of the Company, said that the market potential for SUVs is 70,000 vehicles and they have a aim to sell about 4,000 vehicles in the first year (of launch).

    The SUV will have features such as driver information system, cruise control, audio control mounted on steering and dual AC vents for each row. The ride and handling have been fine-tuned by Lotus Engineering of the U.K. The power train is made under licence from Daimler AG of Germany and the engine capacity is 2.2 litre with complete vehicle and the onboard electronics audited and validated by Mercedes-Benz Technologies.


    Based upon the pricing, this SUV looks like direct take on current Indian SUVs like Mahindra Scorpio and TATA Safari. This is definitely a strategic move and is going to be beneficial for Force Motors to strengthen its presence in Indian SUV market.


    The company expense about Rs 150 crore over a period of last one and a half year to develop this SUV in the Indian auto market. As per the report of company, the car will be build up in the Pithampur Unit, Madhya Pradesh of the Company. The company planned to build 12,000 units per annum of the car.
