• Nissan Sunny Diesel version launched in India

    Japanese Automobile company Nissan has launched a diesel version of Sunny in India. The 1.5 Litre diesel version has been priced at 7.98 lakhs for the base model and 8.78 lakhs for the top end model. "We are delighted to introduce the diesel variant of the Sunny. At a time when the market is witnessing an increase in demand for diesel cars, Sunny diesel, with high fuel economy will be the right choice for our valued customers,"Nissan Motors India managing director and chief executive said.




    The new Sunny Diesel will be powered by a modern 1.5 Litre , 4 Cylinder K9K engine which will give 86PS of power and a maximum torque of 200N at 2000rpm. The engine will have a 5 speed manual transmission. The diesel engine will provide an impressive ARAI mileage of 21.64kmpl. The car is targeted to younger generation with latest styling with plenty of space inside. It is deveoped on V platform that will provide advanced engineering and will enable the car to provide a robust ride refinement and Dynamic on road behavior.

    The sunny is manufactured at the Chennai , which Nissan co-owns with French maker Renault.

    While petrol price are rising in India, almost all automobiles manufacturer are betting high on diesel engines. Hope Government do not change their price control policy for diesel, leaving all these manufacturer in dilemma.
