Remember Antakshari, one of the most viewed show 12 years ago on Zee Tv which was hosted by Annu Kapoor may see revival soon. Annu Kapoor has showed his interest to get this show back to Television.
The show was started in 1994 and almost for span 10 years, the show was top on charts. It was quite popular due its format and nature where it was able to connect to audience directly because of its simplicity.
But due to arrival of new TV programs those were with new international formats, the Antakshari suffered and later on it was taken off air.
The show was co-hosted by Renuka Shahane along with Annu Kapoor and they were both able to entertain audience effectively for a significant period of time.
Annu Kapoor, who is is now 54, wish to make this show live again, he said, "If I get a chance, I will try to do it again with my company. The format might be a little revamped to match the current trends. But the simplicity, the Indianness, the basic values along with the entertainment quotient will be retained by us".
Antakshari was taken off in year 2005 from Zee TV, but later on came back in fresh looks on Star One and then Star Plus channel, but none of them worked out and was not able to create same sensation similar to the first version.
Annu Kapoor will soon launch new version of Antakshari through his new production company 'Amadeus Entertainment' would be launched in March.
