Mercedes Benz Introduce it's First SUV G 55 AMG in India

Mercedes Benz India launched it's G class SUV in Indian market with a price tag of 1.10 cr. (ex-showroom, Mumbai). G 55 AMG is the first SUV in Indian market by the German luxury car-maker Mercedes Benz.

About this SUV the company said that they have already 20 bookings made by Indian customers and the first vehicle will be delivered to the buyer by the end of this month.

In term of specification, G 55 AMG has a 5.5 liter petrol V8 producing 507bhp at 6100Rpm and 71.4kgm of torque at 2750Rpm. Weighing 2500kgs and mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox, the G55 reaches 100kmph mark in 5.5 seconds. This car is made for the tough ride like on mountains and uneven trains.

It has a raw and rocky looks which has been maintained by the German company for years. There is a small history about this SUV. This G wagen is developed as an army vehicle at beginnig in the late 1970's. After that the company made it's civilian version in year 1979 without compromising at all on its basic power, which is the popularity of this car.

The company has trust on the success of G 55 AMG, they claimed that they have already sold 2-lakh units of the G-class till date. At an premium price point of Rs 1.10 cr, the iconic G-Class has received significant interest from customers who want the highest capabilities from their luxury SUVs.
