From Hero Group, the Hero cycles is planning to launch a new range of Carbon fibre bikes in India.
The Company recently had a break up with Honda. Both company now changed their moves and this time Hero Cycles making the news. The Managing Director of Hero Cycles Mr. Pankaj Munjal said that the Carbon fibre is is usually found in Airbus A380 and will be imported from Italy.
The MD Mr. Pankaj Munjal also said that to bring this king of bikes in India is a first of it's kind and it also help the company to make their good position in the market because presently there is no particular segment which have these kind of premium bikes that is why the company is very keen to make this kind of new segment. As per the source of company these carbon fibre bikes will have a cost of Rs. 40, 000 and more and are very lightweight, stably and efficient.
Mr. Pankaj Munjal said that the company manufactures 18,500 cycles everyday and there is a subtle scope to increase the number of 21,000 a day. He also think that the by-cycle market is growing at a pace of 11 to 12 %. At present the by-cycle market stands at 11 million cycles out of which Hero cycles enjoy 50% of the Market share.
