• Airtel Launched its 3G service in Delhi with Unlimited Usage Data Plan

    Airtel, one of the leading player in telecom industry announced official launch of its 3G services in Delhi. With launch, they have introduced a Flexishield plan which is virtually an unlimited plan but little twist into it.

    Bharti airtel President (Mobile Services) Atul Bindal told reporters that "Airtel's 3G services are already in the seven cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mysore, Manipal, Udipi and Jaipur and will be available in all 13 3G-licence circles by March 2011. We are also in talks with other service operators to provide services across India"

    On 3G service, airtel customer can also get mobile TV service for Just for Rs. 40 which gives 20 minutes of viewing per week.

    Regarding their Flexishiled plan, Bindal said, "Customers can choose from Airtel's easy-to-understand 3G tariff plans, which have been crafted to prevent 'bill shock' and help customers monitor their consumption of data with personalised data usage limits and alerts,"

    Their Unlimited data plan is actually Rs. 2000 per month in which you have to pay Rs. 625 in which you will get 1.25 GB of free usage, and after that you will be charged on usage basis but once you reaches Rs. 2000, you won't get charged anymore and your speed will reduce to 20kbps.

    Apart of that they have 2GB data usage plan which is Rs. 750.
