Yamaha Electric Bikes to be launched soon in India.

The Japanese bike maker Yamaha has announced to launch it's electric bike in Indian market. And Yamaha will foray in to Electric Vehicle segment with launch of this bike.

On the announcement about it's new electric bike the motor director of India Yamaha Jun Nakata said, "For rising fuel prices, electric bike is a good option. Currently we are selling electric bikes in Japan and Europe. There is a possibility for the Indian market for introducing these products”.

The head of India Yamaha Motor National Business Roy Kurian said,"Every year we launch new products. This year we will introduce two new bikes and some variants of the existing models.” So from his words its clear that he we will see two new bike models this year from Yamaha and few more variants of current bikes. Though Yamaha is famous for its presence worldwide for their sporty bikes, they are also selling electric bikes in Japan and Europe.

Apart of electric bikes, Yamaha also clear that they are not only planning to launch their new bikes or electric bikes they, also planning to take entry in the segment of scooters. Jun Nakata said in the announcement,"We are preparing to enter the scooter market. The product is under development in Japan and it will be an India-specific product”.

Apparently Yamaha's plan to become a prominent player in Indian market as they were two decades before is under execution. If you remember they had showed their intention for same when they had launched bikes like FZ and R15 in Inda.
