One more Bajaj Discover 125 cc variant coming this April

Bajaj to roll out it's 125cc Discover once again on the Indian road in coming month (April). Bajaj had planned to launch discover with a 125cc engine in 2004, but was replaced with a 135cc engine. And now they announced to launch it's 125 cc engine discover this April 2011.

Bajaj don't want to loose the interest of lacs of customer who find Discover their most preferred bike and according to the market condition they don't want to decrease the respect of one of it's largest selling bike so they are planning to launch it's new variant again on the right time.

They want to take the advantage of the popularity of Discover. Not only this the company would also launch more variants for this bike in near future.

Bajaj will launch two variants of new Discover 125, one with drum brake and second with disc brake. The drum is expectedly cheaper and will launch with a price of 44,000 INR and the other with disc brake will be priced around 47,000 INR.

Though if you look at the prices closely, there is not much difference in pricing of Discover 150cc which is sells for Rs. 51000 in the market, so obviously company will need to do something about it.

Apart of pricing, Bajaj may will have again so many variants of bikes even with same cubic capacity and thus will confuse customer to choose it's vehicle from these bike. There is also news that the all new Discover 125 will have a sub brand that will be independent of Bajaj. This re-branding is Bajaj’s long time strategy to set different brand names for Pulsars and Discovers because they are so successful in the market.

Bajaj is looking to increase their dominance in biking segment by pushing their sales to 1.65 lakh units by mid 2011-2012. The company want to make double of it's discover sales and set it as a separate brand.
