• Mahindra has no plans to launch Ssangyoung vehicles in India.

    Advert.
The leading car maker company in the country has declared that they will not launch any Ssangyoung vehicle in the Indian market in the coming feature. The company wants to be the global SUV car maker company and hence they are planning to concentrate on global portfolio of Ssangyoung Motors instead of launching it in India where they already have strong presence in SUV and UV segment.

The Head of Automotive Business Operations at Mahindra & Mahindra, Rajesh Jejurikar, said, "There's no immediate plan to have a car strategy. The focus is to drive a global SUV strategy.” He also added, "At M&M, we feel that it is appropriate to have a single car in a portfolio of SUVs."

The company has only a sedan in the market as Verito, which is a renamed version of the company's Logan and it was launched in collaboration with Renault. Recently, they decided to rebrand the car and take off name of Renault from it. As Mahindra is aiming to expand their portfolio in SUV segment in the country, there no recent plan for adding any Sedan or other car in it. The company has some popular SUV in their portfolio like Mahindra Scorpio, Xylo, and Mahindra Bolero.

There were some rumors about the company that they will upgrade its Indian portfolio by launching global portfolio vehicles of Ssangyoung in the Indian market. But with this official announcement , it clear that we will not see it happening any soon.
