Yamaha Scooters coming to India by 2012

As we know that Yamaha is one of the leading two wheeler manufacturer in India. The Yamaha produces many bikes in India including R15, FZs and Fazer etc. The Yamaha is all set to diversify his product lineup as Yamaha Motors is going to launch in market in by year 2012.

The sales officer of Yamaha motors Mr Jun Nakata said that the Yamaha will soon launch their scooters in Indian market . Mr Jun Nakata also said that they already have Yamaha scooters in US and Europe and overseas market.

Another official officer of Yamaha motors said that the Yamaha motars have plans to roll out their scooters by 2012.The Yamaha motors will either produced at one of their facilities in two cities like Faridabad and Surajpur.

As there were news about expansion where Yamaha was investing the company has lined up an investment of $10 million by 2012 for increasing its scooter capacity by one million, the India Yamaha CEO & MD, Mr Hiroyuki Suzuki, said.

With this, the company’s two-wheeler capacity is expected to touch six lakh units per annum from the existing number of five lakh.

Yamaha's marketshare in the motorcycle market was just 2 per cent in 2010, with the company selling 2.5 lakh bikes.
