New Ford Fiesta unveiled in India

Ford has promised that they will bring lots of new cars in India this year and their first car is already unveiled. The new ford fiesta which is the next generation variant of their existing ford Fiesta now being sold as Ford Fiesta Classic.

The Ford Fiesta offers two engine choices :

Petrol version comes with 1.5-litre twin cam petrol TiVCT producing about 106.5 bhp and 14.3 kgm of peak torque. This engine is tuned to give petrol efficiency of 17 kilometer per liter.

Diesel version is a 1.5-litre Duratorq diesel with 90 bhp and 20.7 kgm of peak torque. The diesel engine gives 23.5 kpl of mileage under ARAI conditions.

Both of the engines are new to India and are mostly tuned to give better performance and above all more mileage with reliability.

The other key features of this new Fiesta includes an Electric Power Steering setup with Drift Compensation that takes into account road camber and crosswinds. A new Bluetooth system with aux-in/USB support with voice function allows you to not only make and receive calls, but also control climate control and stereo functions. Cruise control, ABS and twin-airbags are standard on the top-end Titanium version.

Ford plans to improve their market share in India with the launches of new vehicle, we need to add here that Ford Fiesta is currently best seller in UK.
