Windows 8.1 - Windows could not start Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service
Hi friends,
I am again stuck in problem and there seems to be no straight solution available online. I am simply trying to enable Windows Media Streaming so that I can share my windows media files over lan in other devices. But when I try to enable ti from Control Panel --> "Media Streaming Options" , I get error :
Quote:
Media Streaming is not turned on
Windows Media Player Network Sharing Services or service that it depends on failed to start. Use Windows services administrative tool to find out more details about the network sharing services and its dependencies.
Here is screen shot from actual window :

So I went into windows services management and enabled "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Services" but when I starts it, it again failes, now it fails with error :
Quote:
Windows could not start the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service service on Local Computer.
Error: 1068 : The dependency service or group failed to start
Here is the screen shot :

Now I have no clue why its not starting, since I can't start this service, I can't enable "Media Streaming " from my computer over lan.
Now what exactly do I need to change here ?
