Is it really necessary for an indian today to go abroad for further studies?
why does the common indian feel that the institutions in our country are inadequate to supply him with what in the long run will give him a comfortable life?.. even when the expenses incurred in going out of the country are sky-high..

Hi swat...
I dont think us Indians need to go abroad to get what is needed "to get a comfortable life in the long run"
In the ongoing recession period, from the news and statistics seen, we have made only a few job cuts than other big economies. This proves that our financial structure and rules the govern our economy are strong.
But it might prey on someone's mind who has felt betrayed due to the reservations given based on various casts and religious sects in our country. The HR ministry might have taken a wrong step in that direction.

I completely agree with you, cycostallion. Its not people who flew from India are rich or incompetent to get into some good universities, but it's basically the reservation that haunts so many intellectuals. Many educational seats have been deprived from students who secure high marks only to be handed over to the reserved candidates with a minimal passing score. Unless, government wakes and thinks against their minority support for their votes, people traveling to abroad for studies would never decrease.
