World's smallest frogs found in New Guinea
World's smallest frog has been discovered in New Guinea by US researchers. This frog belongs to genus Paedophryne. You will amazed to know that adult frog of this specie measures only 8-9mm, which also makes him the worlds smallest Tetrapods. This frog was discovered by Fred Kraus and his colleagues from Bishop Museum in Honolulu. Earlier two specie of the same genus were discovered which were larger than this frog measuring around 10-11mm. Dr. Kraus has said that Miniaturization occurs in many frog genera around the world but this was by far the smallest frog discovered on Planet Earth.
