Am I not worthy for friendship or to be friend ?

Hi, I am a working proffessional and very friendly in nature. I tried to make best friends and i do try hard to make it. But, I've noticed for the past couple of months that unless I initiate a get together with friends I have no social life. It is known to every working proffessional that most of the week days are busy but why is it that people only stay in touch if I invite them to do something? Everyone is so quick to comment on my facebook page or forward emails but that's supposed to = a valued friendship? I think I'm a likeable person but starting to feel otherwise if I'm not even a consideration to people I think of as friends.

What should i do, it looks like in a rush of thousand people and still standing alone.
