Farhan Out of Character

Farhan Akhtar is nothing less of a Rockstar—but you already knew that. He has played a variety of roles in the past, most of them being demure and troubled. However, in his upcoming venture, Kartik Calling Kartik, it seems that Akhtar feels he is “totally out of character.” In an interview to a leading publication, he went on to state, “In Kartik..., I start off as an introvert and then become a totally flamboyant guy. It's fun." The film stars himself and leggy lass Deepika Padukone.

As the season came to an end, Padukone appeared on his show, Oye! It’s Friday and Akhtar had no qualms in measuring her height proving to audiences that she is indeed one tall gal. While on the sets though, Akhtar realized that she is in fact, not as tall as she seems. “In fact, maybe I'm a half-inch taller than her. Deepika says she isn't as tall as she looks. It comes from having long legs, I guess,” he proudly informed.

And while the duo are having a whale of time on the sets, Akhtar is looking forward to some much direction later on this year with his second installment to Don. The “open ending” has left much scope for sequel unlike the original and Farhan intends to make the most of it. Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra will feature in leading roles while most of the supporting roles will have some major changes.
