UPA Government Raised the Retirement age to 62

UPA Government Considering about Raising the Retirement age up to 62 to all central government employees including Army officers.

Current now the retirement age is 60 year but government is thinking to add 2 more years in services of central government employees and an Armed Force.

Pranab Mukherjee Finance Minister of India submitted the Report saying the pros and cons of the move, including the “cascading effects” on government employment and the cost saying which includes the payout of retired employees.

The Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh will announce this on the speech of Independence Day as Department of Personnel and Training and the Prime Minister found the report credible and convincing
