The problem you are facing is quite common if your engine is not running cool. Its called tripping of Air conditioner It could be sigh that your engine is not in good state either as it is generating more heat than it should.
First of all , what are reading of heat (thermostat meter) in instrument cluster. If they are in acceptable limit then problem could be somewhere else and not with over heating of engine.
Try following one by one:
1. Check AC relays, if they are worn out, they causes similar problem.
2. Also check thermostat,
If above is fine then we have to make sure engine is not really heating..
3. Check your radiator, get it cleaned.
4. Also get your ac coils and other coil cleaned.
If still problem not solved, then
5. Check if your compressor is not taking more amp than it should .
Above all, get all above done with some experienced service guy, probably problem is small and all it will take is find the root cause for it. Do let us know the status.
Probably the condenser fans are not running. or Relays are shorted out.
