1 GBPS Plans to hit India

'1 Gbps broadband speed plans for India retail users soon'
Some awesome news for all internet geeks out there.

Hi.. that is great news in words only, I am not assured if it will be really great when launched.

Here news says :

Retail broadband users may have access to ultra-fast download speeds of one gigabit per second plan by mid-2013 in nine Indian cities, according telecom infrastructure firm Radius Infratel.

But what will be those nine cities ? Again the metros and the major cities, no bite for smaller cities, will take ages.



Whil Wahi declined to disclose the names of service providers or the cities where these plans will be first available, he said that discussions are underway and network

And above all, when still we are dreaming for true unlimited 1mbps plan at affordable price, what do you think, how much will this 1GBps plan will cost ?

If compare with current prices, it will be around Rs. 400K a month ?????

I live in Mumbai,my area is covered in this so i dont care as i am going to get it anyways.And i have mentioned in the OP that it is for the internet geeks. And the internet geeks will spend any sensible amount for it.

Anyways, what is your monthly charges and FUP details ?

Mine is a 4 MBPS. Rs.9999 monthly charge. No FUP.Unlimited till infinity. I get download speeds upto 550 kbps sometimes.
