Internet on roaming is free on Airtel unlimited GPRS plan ?

On Airtel, using internet on monthly gprs plan (unlimited usage), Is internet usage is free while on roaming also?

As said, yes it is unless you have selected Airtel as home network while roaming.

BTW, the Charge was 750/month and thats a HELL Lot of expensive for crappy speeds it gives (2~4 KB/s)

They still have Unlimited plans. Mr. Vishal on this forum is using it. He gets around 100-150kbits of speed.

Data is stored in BYTES.....not BITS
and a Byte is 8X of Bits!!

So your actual speeds is only max 5KB with good signal strength and low congestion.

I understand and hence had clearly mentioned kbits, he is actually getting 15-18Kbytes / sec on his airtel.

However, when Vodafone was launched as HUTCH, I was able to get 200+ kbps of speed !
