Apple Mini-iPad rumours and news , new 7.85 inch screen ?

If rumors are to believed Apple is planning to release a smaller version of it's iPad which will be named iPad Mini. The company has taken this step because of the stiff competition that the company is facing from Amazon Kindle Fire. In order to counter it the company has planned to launch iPad Mini.

The rumored device will have a 7.85 inches which is 2inch smaller than it's predecessor, but will have same resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Apple has asked LG to manufacture the screens. However Steve jobs believed that 7inch tablet is way too small and would make the screen look too compact. On the other hand it is expected to be thicker iPad 2.

If these rumors are to be believed than Apple will make it big with this mini iPad. Lets see whether these rumors can end up in something tangible.
