Hi, I an willing to buy a new laptop that will work well with office software, as well as guarantee good multimedia performance including playback of HD videos. It ould be nice if it could also run modern games like Call of Duty: Black Ops it. But problem with me is that my budget is under Rs 50,000. Please suggest some best option and help me out to pursue machine as i was willing to.

Don't worry about the budget as i market there are serveral good notebook for home,college and office use within Rs 30,000. In this case, make sure the machine is equipped with at least an Corei3 processor, 4 GB RAM and 500 GB hard disk.
But as you are saying that you're budget is around Rs 50,000, then do make sure that you must buy and Intel Core i5 (third generation) laptop. Nowadays, almost all machines can handle FullHD vidoes. However, if gaming is prerequisite, buy a notebook with a dedicated graphics chip like AMD's HD 7670M or Nvidia's GT630M. I hope you got your answer.
