Chevrolet Beat Diesel LT variant - Engine heating problem and brake jamming problem?

Last year i purchases chevrolet beat in diesel variant which is the top level variant among them all. The car was really worthy and it also considered as a true value of money but suddenly an incident took which gave me a shock. While driving on highway from delhi to bhopal engine got heated up after an hours + its brake started jamming.

Really the problem is seriously miserable i need to find the solution. So, anyone out here can tell me what should i do?
