I just wanted to know that how can we find out that a person or we ourselve are having a low blood pessure during the time of pregnancy. Many a time we see that wemen fall down due this problem. Are there any symptoms which shows that there is problem of low blood pressure and also are there any home based remedies for the same?
Most commonly, symptoms of low blood pressure in pregnancy include dizziness and even fainting. The lightheaded problem can be worse when standing up suddenly or rising from a reclining position.
1. Pregnant women who are experiencing dizziness due to low blood pressure can take steps to minimize the symptoms like:-
(a) Sitting or lying down if they feel faint, to avoid falls
(b) Avoiding standing up too fast from a seated or lying position
(c) Lying on the left side, to increase blood flow to the heart
2. A woman should access emergency care if she experiences dizziness or "fainting" with serious symptoms like bleeding, severe headache, vision changes or blurring, chest pain, shortness of breath, and weakness or numbness, particularly on one side of the body.
