Sanjay Dutt sentenced to Jail for 5 years

Bollywood Actor,"Sanjay Dutt" has been sentence to jail for 5 years by the Supreme Court of India. He has been sentenced to jail because of his association with the 1993 bombings in Mumbai. The decision was given by a bench of Justice PS Sathasivam and BS Chauhan.

Sajay Dutt has recently got married this year. Sanjay Dutt, 53, was held for acquiring illegal weapons for Mumbai bombings in 1993 which killed 257 people.

He has already served 18 months in a jail in Pune, which means that he will have to serve remaining three-and-a-half year sentence. In 2007, he was found guilty of acquiring AK-56 rifle as well as a pistol illegally. He was one of the high profile people among 100 who were found associated with the bombing trial.

Mumbai bombings took place in 1993. India’s most wanted Dawood Ibrahim was responsible for the bombings.

Your posts somehow seem to entail that Sanjay Dutt was in someway connected to the Mumbai blasts that took place in 1993. This was a general consensus however, after Sanjay Dutt was relieved off the charges of being associated in any way with the blasts and convicted under arms act for possessing weapons which he claimed was taken by him for his own security.

All the above still does not prove that he was innocent in anyway or had no links with the people who perpetrated the entire fiasco, although it does certify that he was not aware of the mumbai blasts and had no involvement in it henceforth its safe to say that he is guilty but not a terrorist.

Agreed, still court has sentenced him imprisonment for possessing illegal weapons, at no place its mentioned that he was involved in Mumbai blasts of 1993.
