How to generate MMID for IMPS transfer through SMS (Bank of Maharashtra)

Hi,

I need to receive some money from a person and he is insisting me to use IMPS so that he can send me money directly from his mobile without need of any other details. So he is asking me to give him MMID , but I don't see MMID generation option anywhere in my bank ie. Bank of Maharashtra. I have its netbanking enabled and its not there anywhere.

I searched online and it says I can get it by sending SMS from my registered account number.

Send SMS “MMID” to 9975494909 to retrieve/receive your MMID.
Send SMS “MMIDCANCEL” to 9975494909 to cancel your MMID.

But when I sent above message , there was no reply and even sms I sent was chargeable. Still awaiting reply but no MMID has been sent.

Please help me to generate MMID myself.

You are doing it right. Are you sure you have registered your number with that bank account ?
If that doesn't work then I suggest to visit branch and ask them to generate one for you from their software.
