Best friend turned into love of Life but Same Gotra -Brahmin- Marriage issue

Hello I am 23 years old and the person I love is 26 years. We were very good friends but now we have realized we have started loving each other . I didn't wanted to go ahead with this relation because I knew we both have same gotra. Love listens for no one, we are in relation and we totally understand each other , accept each other. I was never his type of choice but he loves me like no one else.
his parents wants him to be married , he told his parents about me but they didn't agreed because of gotra. We don't want to go against our family but we can't even imagine without living each other. he is my support, my friend, my everything. what to do ? please tell me .
