The price of copper has increased 400% in the past 2 years.
But Indian electricity boards not only waste huge amount of material and energy,
but they also have no professionalism and pride in what they do.
The country has 60 years of independence.
Re: Colossal waste in India - 1
its sad to see this in every Indian cities
Re: Colossal waste in India - 1
Yes, this is very sad, everyday I feel so pity for it that how much resources we waste which can really be saved.
I don't know whose policy it is but our govt. always try to spend as little as they can on making an infrastructure and they always neglect that this so called saving will result in huge loss in long term .
Well, as with every place, in my area there are people who illegally steal electricity, to check this power board of my area started using insulated wires, pretty cool, even that if you need a connection then you have to call electricity guys, only they can join new cable as..
Nice.. but again what the use, I know that after few years they will go for underground electricity cabling as with most of the developed countries.
What if they had thought about this right from the beginnng then really they could have saved millions of Rupees.
