Recently plyers have been bought by different clubs from mohali,kolkata,mumbai,chennai and jaipur eg. Dhoni was sold for rs 6 crores now is dhoni and other players getting all the money or BCCI?
AND what about captains like Sachin,Yuvraj etc how much will they earn??
You see, from the very beginning cricket has been used by the Britishers to destroy the precious time and attention of public from their nuisances on the Indians. Yes, this reply is purely based on the psychological manipulation angle, or you may call it 'long term Socio-Eco-Political tricks' deep rooted by Britishers. Need I depict the way cricket been modified to suit the time-pass mood of Indian public who were and are mostly less literate and financially below average? Amazingly the literates and financially sound ones also spare their valuable time and energy to know about cricket. May God save us. I don't speak about the boys who are really into cricket, I mean those Indians playing it. But about those 90% who are simply crazy of it.
Uncountable loss has been sustained for more than 40 years by Test Cricket . Then came ODIs which made the crazy numbers ten fold. You see, there are so many fools in India who are crazy about a game which is quite uncertain. For example, take the case of Football- can you imagine a match between Brazil and Italy(two strong teams) ending in 10-1 or 11-2 or 12-3 ? Impossible. But in cricket even a very strong team may fall down for a total of 70.
So how then can you justify your rationale? You will definitely say it's cricket.( Don't explain who was/were at fault. As I've already said it's a case of a very strong team.) Your every other explanation will seem absurd. The only right answer is "Cricket is an uncertain game."
Then, why my friends you get crazy about it. You can get, so to say, the same excitement in gambling, casino or by tossing head or tail.
For your craziness only exorbitant money is earned by the Corporates, the players and the Groups like BCCI/IPL/ICL... You get nothing. You bang your players and throw chappals when they don't perform and the very same 'you' put garland to your players and sleep a sound sleep forgetting your prime responsibilities towards your profession, family and society. I am not professing charity here. I'm just talking about 'YOU'.
You got the answer. You become FOOL and money is earned by the Corporates, who are actually behind making the game commercially suited(by making frequent modifications in the game's rule, now that 20-20 has come to make cricket acceptable to rest 150 contries . Tomorrow there may be 10-10, if Olympic Council will tale to reduce the duration. Money is equally earned by the GROUP and the players, as well.
My only request is to watch cricket not being crazzzy, as it is an uncertain and purely commercialized game. Be clever like Americans or Japanese or Chinese. If You will prosper then India will prosper. With due regards to your sentiments...Please don't let these group or Corporates or players earn billions unreasonably like the filmstars.
I must appreciate your effort that how nicely you conveyed your thoughts. I agree to you some extent. Well, its about entertainment, we by watching cricket you enjoy then let them earn money. Why would one give its time to entertain you ? Well, one should get reward. But yes, getting this much of money is just not good. Again, a post by Pluto saying that 77% people lives on 40 cents a day shows that how much disturbing society we India have, at one end its like MONEY and on MONEY and on the other side there is NO MONEY!

If u wanna know abt earning "money"..players have earned them!!! From the initial reports, it has been indicated that the earnings from IPL wil be diverted towards promoting the gama n infrastructure. But that is yet to be seen!!

Well my friend, I must say you have put in a lot of efforts in putting down you feelings but I think Ricky was to the point to identify your point by saying that their is money at one side but not at the other side. Now once they have earned, its up to them how they divert the money to places where it is not(n its only upto them but to all who can). You said the Corporates are earning lots...do I need to remind you the contribution of Ambanis (owner of Mumbai IPL team) towards society??
Now let me narrow down a bit: you say 90% of viewers are crazzy!! do u hv any statistics to support it...can you make out the difference between craziness and passion?And that test matches are making losses...tats really hard to digest. You have also established a relation between cricket and gambling, as both provide uncertainties....well...m afraid how many of us present will buy that! The gambling that is associated in cricket is "betting", and I hope you must be knowing that betting is even placed in Stock Markets, elections and all forms of games....and that is a 'menace'. You say by watching cricket, you get nothing but the players are earning...well, they provide entertainment and they earn it!Its their credibility to sell their skills and talent...they have that right!even filmakers earn a lot coz we see the movies! They sell their art to entertain us! wats wrong in it!
To survive in dynamic market, one need to change business strategy to meet market demands. And thats why I think, cricket has undergone several modifications. If Twenty20 can allow cricket to enter Olympics arena, and Indian Team represents the country, I think it will be a proud moment for us!
And last of all, its not meant to hurt your feelings or thoughts but just the way I think!! I would also like to know how many over here support my views? Any comments are welcome...

IPL is certainly a benchmark in Sports .
We should applaud BCCI for its endeavor to earn more and more money.
As a policy BCCI donates some amount of money to the authorities of sports
So if its able to earn money its good for other sports too indirectly
It seems that 75 crore was given by BCCI to the AIFF
and dats why Indian football team is practicing in Barcelona (govt. of India 2 supprted AIFF )

I think the whole IPL is nothing but a business..Coz other wise these big ppl wouldnt have put their hands in it if there was no money.
