Unable to access orkut ...

Whenver I try to access orkut I get error that you are not allowed.. ????

What should I do ?

You first need to find out what type restriction you have there.

Is it by proxy server or by some hardware based firewall etc. ?

Ok.. tell me do you need to configure your browser in order to access internet ?

the site is just blocked in uae. mayb a proxy server set up will help. i need to get connected with friends.

You look for proxy server setup .. if it works then fine.. else last option is web based proxy.. like proxut.com

even i'm getting same problem plz anyboby help me. its saying tht administrator has blocked orkut

Well, an intelligent LAN Admin also blocks site having "proxy" in their name..

i want to open few sites but even the proxies cannot b opened coz of bloddy smart filter what to do and how to open it??

The reason for which you are unable to login into Orkut :
1> Enabled Firewall.
2> Proxy SEttings.
3> The site might be blocked.
Solutions:
1> To disable Firewall in XP please refer below link:

2>If issue persist please follow the below steps.
a. Open new Internet Explorer-> click on Tools -> Internet Options -> Click on Privacy -> Under that click on Sites.. Tab -> you will find the sites which are blocked on your system-> Click on the site and click on Remove-> Click on OK -> Click on Apply------------> Now check in new Internet explorer.

3> If issue persist please restet internet Explorer by following the below link:
