i am using windows 7. and used following antivirus
1) norton internet security 2010-not recommended
(cons-slowed the bootup)
pros-no performance issues,doesn't consume your pc resources.
2)avg-slows down your pc.
3)avast-currently using(no issues yet i will continue to use it)
4)microsoft security essentials-good and low on resources.

I use avira now and pc is fast as before.

Avira Antivir is the best

avasti is best for home users and its free for home users i am use it. since 1 year quick heal is good but it delete all files sad option for small network use norton total security 2010 its free trial for 90 days enjoy free usage. Any one body require assitance about virus remove and usage of antivirus.Reply me

You can try using free versions of avira, quick heal or avast and then go in for any of the paid versions if you feel the need.
