How to check vodafone balance when using in data card ?

Hi

I want to use my vodafone sim my datacard but then how can I check my remaining balance because on mobile it is but I need to know procedure or way to check my remaining vodafone balance in my data card also ? can i check it through sms and get all details about my account in sms reply ? Can I get all details similar to mobile phone in my usb modem when i disconnect because I get full information once I disconnect internet in phone. Same feature I want in when I am using sim in a my usb data modem ?

It is easy as you do on phone, you can simply send USSD command .
Send following :
*111#
and then send two know about data plan.
It will show you two options there, one to know about active data plan and other to know about usage.
