Combined defence service examination 2013

CDS: COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMINATION is conducted twice a year for the recruitment of graduated students into the Indian Military Academy (Dehradun),Officers Training Academy(Chennai), Naval Academy(Goa) and Air Force Academy(Hyderabad) by the Union Public Service Commission.

It's a good opportunity to grab for graduates who are willing to serve in Indian Military and Air Forces Of India.

To Apply in CDS, following questions that may arises in each individual's mind who are willing to serve in military forces:

1. AGE LIMIT:

1.(a) To apply in Indian Military Academy, each person must have attained a mininum age of 18years-2 and the maximum must be 24 years.

1.(b) To apply in Indian Naval Academy, each person must have attained a mininum age of 18years- and the maximum must be 21 years.

1.(c) To apply in Air Force Academy, each person must have attained a mininum age of 18years- and the maximum must be 22 years.

1.(d) To apply in Officers Training Academy, each person must have attained a mininum age of 18years- and the maximum must be 24 years.

2. Education Qualification:

2.(a) For Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy: Degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level).

2.(b) For Air Force Academy: Degree of Bachelor of Engineering from a recognized University.

2.(c) For Indian Naval Academy: Degree From a recognized in Engineering.

3. Paper Pattern: Candidates willing to apply in Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy-

3.(a) Paper will be conducted in two shifts, Time duration for each paper is fixed around 2 hours.

3.(b) Syllabus: There will be questions will be from English, General Knowledge and mathematics each section will be of 100 marks.

3.1 For, Indian Officers Academy: there will be two papers under a fixed time limit upto 2 hours each.

3.(a) Paper will be conducted in two shifts.

3.(b) Syllabus: There will be two papers comprised of English and General English , and each section will be of 100 marks.


All the Questions will be objective. And Medium of Question Paper will be English.
