Class 9th School Kid used RTI act to re-investigate Exam Results

This is first of its kind where a school kid used RTI act to investigate his exam results. The Central Information Commission (CIC) has asked Government Boys Senior Secondary School to disclose the information asked by the boy about his class IXth results which were held in March.

The boy sought for pass percentage of student, criteria for grace marking and also student who were given grace marks. He sought details for his answer sheets as of whole class for investigation.

He was failed in 3 subject out of six and even his report card was not given to him. He also sought details of teachers who checked the answer sheets.

School authority delayed response for 1 month but now they agreed to support, however they have been ordered a penalty for not responding in timely manner.
