My acer laptop was attacked by a virus and my all files are gone ?

I have a acer laptop which i have been using from 2 years but some days ago it is attacked by virus and my all folders and files are gone from it. So, plz tell me guyz what should i do ? I have lost some of my favourite collection and i m too much upset coz of that. Plz help me !
