Andy Android is great piece of software, it allows you to run Android inside your computer as virtual machine. Starting with version .43, Andy Android Emulator is also available for OS X . The download link is given below.
As per FAQ of Andy for OS X, you need to have your MacBook or Mac with atleast :

- • 4 GB of system RAM or more
- • 20 GB of free hard drive space or more
- • All system updates installed
