How to jump while riding a bike safely in case of accident?

Last night a was just too close to met an accident. What happened at that time it was raining and me and my friend were going to have fun and at the time when he bend the bike to take a left turn suddenly the rear tyre got slipped somehow he manages the control and bike make it's balanced. I was on my way to jump. But i want to know if i jump then in which direction and in which style should i jump to get my body safe from getting hurt.

Thats really a funny question accident happen all time accidently and i you have that much of time that you think you can rescue yourself than i would suggest you to jump in the alternate direction of your bike.
