TATA Safari Storm to be launched in Delhi 2012 Expo

There were reports that TATA is planning to launch a new version of Safari which will have some dramatic changes from the earlier versions. Tata is planning to launch this vehicle in Auto Expo 2012. Recently the car was spied in Pune.

The new version of Tata Safari Storm will have a new grille garnished with chrome and a front bumper with fog lamps. Tata Safari Storm will get a beefy Four spoke steering wheel and the top end variants will have a Airbag inside it so that the driver is protected in case of an accident. The company has made a effort to give it a premium look by giving it wooden dashboard and neat round dials. The car will be powered by a 2.2 liter engine which will be delivering a power and a torque of 140PS and 320Nm respectively. According to the company the Safari Storm is developed keeping in mind Mahindra XUV500. The company has not yet disclosed anything as far as it's pricing is concern.

According to recent reports, the new Tata Safari will be going by the name “Tata Safari Storm” and will be officially unveiled at the upcoming 2012 Indian Auto Expo. Major changes will include revamped interiors and cosmetic upgrades.

Yes its another power packed SUV form the Tata family but this Tata Safari Storm which was earlier decided to launch by the name of Tata Merlin, I don't know why Tata want to stick with the Safari name.
