Asus to launch 6-8 Mobile Handsets in Indian Market

ASUS the maker of Motherboard ( Desktop PCs) and notebooks and Personal Digital Assistants(PDAs) is all set to launch 6-8 mobile in Indian Market in last quarter.

ASUS ,within two years of launching their PDA phones in Indian Market ASUS now has 15 per cent market share for Windows Mobile-based PDA phones.

Its expected to be ASUS will sell 40,000 mobile handsets in India this year as against 30,000 units in 2008.

ASUS has global partnership with Garmin and introduces co-branded GPS-enabled smartphones to be known as the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone series from which users can access to Garmin’s maps.

The ASUS mobile will be high end mobile handsets will cost above Rs 20,000. The Company will launch mid range phone too later this year.
