I applied for passport on 9/1/15 and recently my status on 23/1/15 was, my police verification is incomplete due to adverse address and thus I want to cancel my application. I got that status because I actually study in Chennai but I mentioned my permanent address.
So can anyone guide me how to cancel the application because I need the passport in urgent.
You can apply for passport from non-home city if you are living there for atleast 1 year. And you can't cancel your passport, if you have completed 1 year in current area then try to reschedule appointment (if option is visible) and explain PSK guys your situation.
Btw, even you got your application cancelled, you can't hide your permanent address, that may end up you in jail. Best is try PSK customer care helpline, they may guide in such situation.
